Blue Planet Kayak launches from a small dinghy dock in a houseboat row on the outskirts of Key West. We’ll paddle between Stock Island & Boca Chica in cushioned sit-inside 12′ or 14′ kayaks with some back support. This 2 ½ hour paddle takes you through a hidden mangrove maze, seagrass flats abundant with wildlife & lots of sunken boats. There are public bathrooms in the marina. I lead the Boca Chica Marine Life tour ($60 per person) or Private Adventure tours. HINT: For an easier paddle, choose a day with winds under 10mph. 15+winds=intermediate.
Geiger Key Paddle launches from a popular tiki-bar restaurant 10 miles north of Key West. In just a few minutes of paddling, you’re immersed in unspoiled nature. We’ll head to Saddlehill Key & one of the most stunning mangrove mazes in the Lower Keys. Choose a paddleboard or basic sit-on-top kayak for this 2 hour trip. I guide group ($75 per person) or private tours. HINT: Go close to high tide as you can, sometimes the maze is too shallow to go all the way through.
